Product descriptionThe Secure IPSec Client supports the Microsoft 32-bit and 64-bit Operating Systems Windows 7, Vista, the 32-bit OS XP and it enables secure remote access to company data. Based on IPSec standards and in combination with VPN Gateways of Teldat makes the Secure IPSec Client secured tunnels for access to the central data network possible. The integrated Personal Firewall ensures the protection of the end user system. A wizard leads through the installation and a configuration assistant helps to create a precise connection profile. Is the VPN connection estabished, the user applys to the applications in familiar manner, without thinking about security functions. Furthermorethe graphical user interface informs about the current VPN tunnel connection status. Featured with comprehensive security functions, the Secure IPSec Client is an ideal solution for home offices or mobile employees with a need for a secured remote access to delicate central company data.

News and FAQProduct activation is necessary for the first time with effect from Client Version 1.30 of the bintec Secure IPSec Client. Instructions on carrying out the software activation are given in the following document: Description of the software activation process of the FEC Secure IPSec Client (PDF, 946 kB) (www.teldat.de -> downloads -> Software -> IPSec-Client -> Documantaton -> ipsec-client_Activation_v20_en.pdf) What means full functionality? Full functionality means, that, if you want to activate a Teldat Secure IPSec Client on Windows 7, you need an activation key which is at least valid for v2.20. It is not possible, to activate the Teldat Secure IPSec Client on Windows 7 with a Key valid for v2.10 or below. What exactly does an update do? An update enables exactly one leap to the next major release. A change from version 1.3x to version 2.00 is regarded as a version leap. What is a major release? A leap to a major release is indicated by a change of the first digit after the dot or the digit before the dot in the version number (example v1.30 -> v2.00 or v2.10 -> v2.20 or v2.30). Are bugfixes also subject to a charge? No. Bugfixes are still free. What is a bugfix release? A bugfix release is indicated by a change in the second digit after the dot in the version number (example v1.30 -> v1.31). Is a free update to version 2.30 possible with an existing license? All customers who have bought a version 2.2x license with a serial number of 22049902 or higher as of 1st December 2011 or later can install version 2.30 for free. Is a free update to version 2.30 or higher possible with an existing license version 2.2x with a serial number lower than 22049902 ? All customers who have bought a license version 2.2x with a serial number of 22049902 or lower before 1st December 2011 and have already installed a client with it only obtain version 2.2x features if they install version 2.30 or higher (This is not possible on Windows 7). If you wish to use version 2.30, you must buy an update; if you wish to use the succeeding major version of version 2.30, you must buy a full version. What must a customer do if he has bought a license version 2.2x with a serial number below 22049902 before 1st December 2011, installed a client with it and would now like to use version 2.3x? The customer needs to buy an update (item numbers 80516 for one client, 80517 for 5 clients und 80518 für 10 clients). What must a customer do if he has bought a license version 1.x/1.3x/2.0x or 2.1x, installed a client with it and would now like to use version 2.30 or higher? The customer needs to buy a full version (item number 80511 for one client, 80512 for 5 clients und 80513 for 10 clients).
